Taijiboxing is a martial art akin to taijiquan the emphasis being on retaining the combative aspect within the practice of Taijiquan for self defense as well as enhancing longevity. My name is Dennis Pounall and I have been Plying Taijiboxing for about 15 years and practising martial arts about 30 yrs now. I am writing this article to share a experience I came across last year and wanted other Taiji players to be aware of TAIJIQUAN MULTIFASCITATED range of appeal. Mr John Rochon is a world class internationally recognized precision competitive sport shooter( now retired) . He came to centre in Elliot Lake (VitFitKlub) and said he was interested in learning a bit about “Tai Chi” for relaxation. Many people have in recent days been attracted to the glamor and bravado of the U.F.C. fever. Even to the point people whom have a legacy of traditional heritage of martial arts are now forced to jump on the bandwagon of so called mixed martial arts training. This is very sad to see. Things have gotten so bad the first original martial arts media giants, such as Black belt magazine, Inside Kungfu, and Taijikungfu Magazine are no longer visible on the shelves of Chapters book store under SPORTS. Instead, you have U.F.C. and Grappling Magazine. There is nothing wrong with adding to what you already know, but to trade it in for a cheaper newer model is not always wise or prudent. New does not always mean better, just different for a time. Remember the deception of this so called” mixed up martial arts” is exactly that!! “User of many master of none” I think that every traditional system when taught in the context of it practical environment has for more depth than dabbling in Brazilian Jujitsu, Muay Thai kicking style and American Kickboxing methods. Give me a good traditional 10 year veteran in Penjat Silat or Hwrangdo, Korean martial…

Never does nature say one thing and wisdom another, only man in his infinite arrogance confuses the two and often misses the truth!! This truth and clarity of mind is also called Enlightenment !! The soft nutritious part on the inside is your personality, your positive attitude, and flexible in mind and body that allows you to adjust to any situation, and adapt and overcome them. This is achieved by dispersing the build up of too much negative energy and stress with a positive solution and vitality. The key to a full life is to discover a way to crack that coconut called life; and enjoy the nutritious soft inside called vital living. And now you have discovered the right tools, for life you can teach others how to use it. Then the joy and peace of mind that comes sometimes by sharing , will reveal this in its innate wisdom. Thereafter, the…
